FAA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) Requalification

Regulated Qualification (RQF)

Course Overview

This course is designed for individuals whose First Aid at Work (FAW) certification is nearing expiration. It provides a vital refresher of essential skills to ensure you remain competent and prepared to act as a workplace first aider, adhering to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommendations. The training ensures compliance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Northern Ireland equivalent.

The course is specifically structured for those looking to renew their existing credentials without undergoing the full three-day initial training, provided certain criteria regarding certificate expiry are met. It focuses on practical application and theoretical updates to maintain high standards of emergency response in a professional environment.

Qualification Structure

The qualification consists of two units. To successfully achieve the FAA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Re-qualification, learners must complete both units. Eligibility for this specific 2-day version depends on how long ago your previous certificate expired; if it has lapsed by more than three months, a full 3-day course is required.

Assessment

Assessment is conducted through a combination of practical demonstrations and a written assessment. Learners are required to pass both components to receive their official certification.

Certification

Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded an FAA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work certificate. This qualification remains valid for a period of three years.
